I sat myself on the chair and made myself comfortable before starting, "Shoof el gi9a hy..."
-
"... w hathy hy el salfa" I concluded my story.
"Aha" was Salman's only reply.
"Aha?" I repeated.
He suddenly bursted into fits of laughter, "Ya mama e9bry 3alay.. 5aleeny afkr shwy"
"Tfaker b aish?" I was curious to hear his answer.
"Afaker b 6aree8a asa3dk feeha"
"Bs ana ma a7taj mosa3adah"
"Enty lain al7een ma 97ty 3alla wala wa7ed w tgoulen enk mo ga3da t7seen b ay shay 97?" he asked.
"Eee?"
"Hatha mu 6abee3y, wgt el 7ezn lazm el sha59 y9ee7 w wagt el far7ah lazm el wa7ed ystanes, enty al7een mthl el 9anam ma t7seen b shay"
"Ouch" I replied with a chuckle.
He bellowed with laughter, "Ya Shahad ana al7een mn jdy b7awl asa3dk."
"Okay??"
"Laish harabty mn el awlad elly tw youm kano bymskoonk?" he asked.
"Kano y5awfoon" I replied.
"Y5awfoon? ya3ny ashkalhom t5wf 97?" His interrogation began.
"Eee"
"Ya3ny 5fty mnhom 97?"
"Eee! Kano bygtloony kano bysawoon feeny ashya2 kano-" I thought about what they would do to me and the tears finally came.
But with the tears, along came the fear. The fear was undeniably scary, frightening even. The whole idea spread jolts of fear through my veins. My heart beats were as fast as lightning, and a tremor spread through my body reminding me of the terror. The waterfall of tears in my eyes wouldn't stop. I suddenly remembered the incidents with Laith and Sa3ad, they were like a movie replaying the pain and hurt. My heart died a little more inside, it broke, it's shattered now.
"Shahad baba wagfy.. 3ashany" Salman spoke.
"Shahad, please.." he pulled me into his arms.
Those arms of his managed to calm me down, my tears magically decreased but they were still raining. The fear in my heart disappeared, it was replaced with a home-like feeling. His chest felt like a shelter made precisely for me. That chest of his made me strong, it's indescribable. His chest was my shelter, my other home, my paradise. But even that embrace couldn't heal my broken heart. Oh how lovely it felt to be comforted, my own hugging pillow.
The tears finally stopped. His fingers held my chin up to look at him, "Ha baba a7san al7een?"
I nodded.
"Tbeen moya?"
I nodded.
He chuckled, "shfeek bs t7arkeen rasek, tklmy"
"9rt a7san w ee aby moya" I spoke.
"Haha.. ya 7ubeelk, 5ala9 ana al7een ajeeb mn da5il" he said as he stood up.
"La la please, la tetkrny! Maby moya 5ala9" I begged with fright.
"5ala9 mara7 at7arak.. ta3aly" he pulled me closer to him.
"Shahad etha t7seen eny ga3ed ajbrk 3alla shay aw mt'6ayga goolaily okay? Ana al7een ga3ed a'6aygek?" he asked worried.
"La! La abad.. I like this" I said as I closed my eyes and drifted into sleep between his manly arms.
-Several hours later-
I woke up, and found myself lying on a bed I've never seen before.
I turn my head...
I am not alone.
